Unveiling the Mystery: A Woman's Surprising Discovery in Her New Home
When Angelina Schott moved into her new apartment, she was eager to explore every nook and cranny. As she settled in, one room caught her attention - the bathroom. But it wasn't the green marble trims and pillars that intrigued her; it was the panel of switches.
"I come into my very old-school bathroom and I turn on the lights, and I’m like ‘OK, well if that’s the light switch then what are all those for?’", she wondered aloud in a TikTok video. And that's when the mystery began.
As she flipped the first of the five switches, a crimson glow enveloped the bathtub. Thousands of viewers soon flooded her comment section with theories. While many suggested it was a built-in sauna or vintage heat lamp, Schott dispelled the rumours.
"You have a sauna," one person wrote.
"Heat lamp," another person suggested.
Others envied Schott’s living space.
"I’d do anything for a 70s heat lamp bathroom," one person wrote.
"The 1970s house I lived in growing up did not have this feature and I wish it did," another shared.
As it turned out, the red light was merely a red piece of glass.
"We took it out so that we could clean it but it’s just a regular light with a red piece of glass on top," Schott explained.
As for the remaining four switches? One of them controls the spa bath, but the "jury is still out" on the three remaining.
"I’m sorry to disappoint but the rest of the switches in the bathroom don’t do anything cool," she said in a separate video.
So, what are these switches for? And what other secrets might this retro property hold? Stay tuned to find out!
